Pimiento Fest: Saturday, May 15 10-4 on the Square
    Our small town street fair celebrates Zebulon’s once-booming pimiento pepper industry in the mid 20th century. Join us as we crown this year’s Pimiento Queen, see who takes top honors in The World’s Best Pimiento Cheese Spread Contest, shop, play and eat while listening to our local talent. Look for special bargains and tasty fresh vegetables and fruits at the Farmers Market.

Fourth of July Parade: Everyone turns out to say Happy Birthday to our country! Our parade features the Parade of Antique Tractors, floats, fire engines, horses, antique cars, and more.

Third Fridays on the Square: Bring a chair, your favorite beverage and sit under the old pecan trees on the Courthouse lawn every third Friday evening beginning at 7 p.m. from June to Oct. From jazz to country to pop, great musicians will entertain you under the stars. It’s free and it’s fun.

Market on the Square: April 10 through October on the east corner of the Square
    Every Saturday join our local farmers and lovers of fresh locally-grown food at the Market on the Square. Vegetables, fruits.

SlowExposures Photography Exhibition: Sept. 17-26
    Pike County welcomes visitors from all over the country to its 8th annual celebration of fine art photography of the rural South. Several sites in Zebulon will join in the fun by hosting exhibitions of their own. Stop in A Novel Experience to get a driving map of the many locations that will be a part of this event.

Halloween-on-the-Square:Sat. Oct. 30
    The merchants of Zebulon vie for bragging rights in a hotly-contested Scarecrow Contest. On Halloween, store and businesses around the Square welcome treat-or-treaters and award a prize for the best costume of the night.

Christmas Celebration and Parade: Dec. 4th
    Santa Claus comes riding into town on the back of a fire engine! Our country-style parade is celebrated by “lighting up” our antique tractors, fire engines, cars, horses and everything else! Merchants and restaurants offer great deals and strolling carolers put everyone in the holiday spirit!
